10.30 Update: Note that this contest has been updated to comply with federal law.
With the presidential election mere days away, my brother Tim and I are pulling out all the stops to encourage young, black people to vote.
Tennis legend Arthur Ashe once said, "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can."
Tim is a real estate investor and software engineer. I am a community organizer and brand strategist. Together, what we have is a modest real estate portfolio, some internet savvy, and access to a large community. So, we made a contest!
The Tiny House Voter Appreciation Contest
The premise is simple. We are raffling two opportunities to stay in a truly adorable tiny house in Detroit, MI. Our goal is to celebrate friends and family members who are voting.
It's easy! Just take a picture with a friend who has voted, and share it with us! There are two opportunities to win. The first opportunity is exclusively for early voters. Register at www.blackeverywhere.com/vote, send a photo with an early voter, and you'll be entered to win!
The second opportunity is for day-of voters. The rules are the same except that you'll take a photo with someone who is voting on election day. Careful! No cameras are allowed inside of Michigan polling places! Be sure to heed any signage prohibiting cell phone use and obey local laws. Click here for complete rules. We can't win if we don't play. So, let's get out and vote!
