CAMP BLACKOUT | Adult Summer Camp with Black Philadelphia! (Philadelphia, PA)

Did you ever go to sleepaway summer camp? You'd get on a school bus, drive to a cabin in the woods, armed only with your sleeping bag and a canteen. Well, if you didn't, now you can! We're going to unplug (slightly) and hang out at Camp Dark Waters in Medford, NJ! First 30 folks that submit payment can attend.

For the adventurous, there's archery, relay races, and riding horses! For those looking for low-key experiences, there's yoga, arts & crafts, hiking, napping, and playing games. Perhaps we will have a talent show for the truly brave at heart! We are going to have a good time, and we're only 40 minutes from home! This campout is perfect for individuals aged 21 and older. Couples can join us, but there is no couples housing. EVERYONE will be staying in single-gender cabins on twin-sized bunk beds...don't worry, there is running water & toilets in the shower house.

Based on the Quaker testimonies of Peace, Education, Simplicity, Stewardship, Equality, and Integrity, our diverse community builds new friendships in a “family” atmosphere. We live and play together and learn to appreciate one another in our outdoor camp setting."

General timeline Friday afternoon arrival 3-5pm: Welcome & gift bags Friday evening: dinner and orientation, game night, and campfire with S'mores Saturday: tons of camp activities (canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, etc) Saturday evening: party and campfire Sunday: breakfast and then say goodbye to all your camp friends

Cost is $200 total per person ($100 deposit due May 1, $100 balance due August 1) This includes the shared cabin, all catered meals (vegan options also), snacks, and camp activities. You just need to bring linens and alcoholic beverages! Transportation to and from home are not included.
