About the Event
- Event Overview: Join Black Philadelphia in a rewarding experience by serving meals to fellow citizens facing homelessness in collaboration with Philly House.
- Commitment Details: Serious commitments only; limited to 10 slots, so please RSVP only if firmly committed to attending. New volunteers must create an account on Philly House's website and sign a waiver.
- About Philly House: Philly House, a sanctuary for over 140 years, empowers the homeless, hungry, and hurting in Philadelphia, remaining the second oldest homeless shelter in the country.
- Volunteer Information: Participants must create an account, sign up online, and cannot show up without prior registration. This service event is for adults aged 18 and older, involving meal plating, serving, and cleaning tasks.
- Dress Code: Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes, pants, and socks. Hairnets, aprons, and gloves will be provided.
- Parking Information: Free parking on the north side of Vine Street West. Specific instructions provided for easy access.
